Thus, the two terraces had to be marked with diurnal and nocturnal beacons, and also the 20 lighting masts located on each side of the complex.

The two terraces are equipped with 4 diurnal obstruction lights MIOL-A and 6 nocturnal obstruction lights LIOL-B, with backup power supply cabinet to insure the 12 hours of autonomy compulsory in case of power supply failure.
The 20 lighting masts surrounding the football grounds are also equipped with 20 nocturnal obstruction lights low intensity LIOL-B. As the top of the masts is marked with red and white painting, only a nocturnal lighting has been realized on the masts.

Located face to the Saint-Etienne airport runways, the sports complex includes several football stadiums, with the bigger one surrounded by two important terraces counting more than 5.000 seats for supporters.

The football grounds are lighted by numerous floodlights installed at the top of the two terraces, and all over the side fields by lighting masts.

As the Envol Stadium is very close from the airport runways, the sports complex had to be marked as the French standards recommend.
